Team Update and FAQ: Coronavirus and Your Yearbook

During this period of uncertainty and with school closures in place, we’re aware that the coronavirus outbreak may cause concern over the continuation of your yearbook project, meeting your deadlines or gathering content from home.

We want to let you know that here at Yearbook Machine, we are working to keep all business operating as usual, with the same team working (from home) to support you through the process.

We hope the situation will be much improved by the time your school year comes to an end, but in the meantime, our aim is to make the completion of your yearbook as easy for you as possible. We hope this project might fill some of the time spent at home, help you hold on to memories from such an important time in your life, and say goodbye to your friends and school or university.

We have gathered together the most frequently asked questions we’re currently receiving. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the support team here if you have any further queries or need any assistance at all.

FAQs

Are you printing yearbooks as usual?

At the moment here at Yearbook Machine, we don’t envisage any disruption to our yearbook production. Having spoken with our printers, we have contingency plans in place to ensure that the process runs as normal and to our usual timeline.

How do we keep the yearbook running to schedule out of school?

When working from home, we encourage all users and editors to take advantage of the online nature of our software. With a chat feature, a group ‘Photos’ page, and the ability to assign pages to different users, you can work together to gather content and put together your yearbook.

If we want to change our delivery date or address – can we do this?

Yes, it is always possible to amend your delivery date or addresses under the ‘Settings’ tab, and then ‘Dates and Delivery’. Otherwise, feel free to get in touch with one of the support staff here, who will be happy to do this for you, or help you create an appropriate new timeline.

If our school is closed, can we post individually to students?

We can post individually to students, please do get in touch with the team at support@yearbook.com if this is something that you might require, or if you’d like a shipping quote.

Are hoodies still printing as usual?

Hoodies are currently printing to the usual timeline with no interruptions. Hoodies can also be shipped directly to students if needed.

How will payment work if we’re not able to collect money from students at this time?

We understand that when your school is closed, it may be difficult to gather payment for your yearbook. Please do note that we can accept a Purchase Order from the school in place of payment prior to sending your yearbook or hoodies to print. Do get in touch with the support team if you are having any issues with collecting payment and we can suggest other methods if necessary.

Payments can also be collected via our new online storefront feature. Read more about this here.
