Quick-Start User Guide
1. Joining the Yearbook
There are three ways you can get invited to your yearbook – Email, Facebook or Keyword.
If you receive an email, click the link it contains, fill in your details, and you’re ready to go!
Facebook invites will provide a link to click, where you can register. You’ll need to be approved before you can take part in the book, however.
Finally, if you have been given you book’s Keyword, just head to yearbook.com/get-started and enter this in the box provided. Fill in your details, and then wait to be confirmed.
2. Filling out your profile page
Once you’ve signed up and have logged in for the first time, the best thing to do will be to start completing your profile.
Click ‘My Profile’ on the left-hand side, and you’ll be taken to your page. You can fill out your personal Details, answer About Me questions, and set topics for Friends to respond to.
You should also set the photos you’d like printed from the Print Layout tab.
3. Writing on other people’s profiles
You can use Yearbook Machine’s Friends Say and Friends’ Comments features to add content to other people’s profiles.
Search for a friend’s profile using the search bar at the top of the page, or by clicking on ‘People’ in the sidebar to find them.
Once on their page, you can respond to Friends Say questions, or write them a longer message with Friends’ Comments.
4. Upload and Link photos
Adding as many photos as you can to the yearbook is a great way to ensure your memories can be properly shared. To upload photos, click on Photos in the sidebar, then click the Add Photos button.
You’ll be able to add photos into the online system by uploading them directly, importing from Facebook or Dropbox, or emailing them to the book.
Linking will let you ‘tag’ friends in Photos and make it easy for the Editors to find any photos you have that are relevant to particular topics or events.
